The story...

If Aurelia’s story starts like a horror film, it turns out to be a tale of hope and an adventure that will eventually lead her to the deepest parts of her soul.

In our every day life, we are all confronted with demons from our past. These can take many forms without necessarily being associated to ill-natured people; difficult decisions, unfortunate events and the loss of loved ones are a few examples. When we reach adulthood, we prefer to forget these ordeals and often believe that they will go away by themselves. For children though, situations of crisis can take the shape of scary monsters that end up restraining their lives.

It is the case of Aurelia who is endlessly pursued by a mysterious cat-man in her dreams. One day, this beast even manages to hunt her down in her reality. That’s when Aurelia decides to take back her life in hand and face her foe. She will learn that enemies are not always the ones we think and that with determination and will power, we can overcome anything. The other characters she encounters in her imaginary universe will develop as well: Icarus, Aurelia’s guardian-angel, will realise he wasn’t made to be perfect, Gayoum, the toad-counsellor, will not let anguish or discouragement win him over and Majira, the Pershir princess, will gain the courage to change her destiny.

Aurelia will discover that her interior world is in fact a vast island emerging from the Imaginary Ocean. Her journey will also take her to the Great Library, which contains all her thoughts and memories since birth, and to the port of Aberlour, where boats depart to sea transporting messages to other islands, maintaining relations between people.

With her new-found knowledge of the interior world, Aurelia will then save her best friend Zachary from his coma and find the reason behind her memory losses. Until she is herself abducted in reality…
